Rescue Operations for Wind Industry

IEME has developed a training program that deals with safety practices at height for wind Turbines. Rescue procedures that are geared towards Wind Turbines and the safe use of emergency escape systems and gear will be introduced. This intense 2 day program will teach the student all the fundementals of Wind Energy Rescue and Safety. To qualify for a certification in this program, students will need to pass a written and practical evaluation upon completion.

  • Equipment, Gear and uses
  • Fall Protection Overview
  • Vertical Life lines
  • Fall Arrest Recovery and Rescue proceedures
  • Suspension Trauma Theory and Mitigation
  • Anchoring Sellection and methods
  • Rescue and Evacuation
  • Personal Escape Systems
  • Interior vs. Exterior Rescue Techniques
  • Fall Recovery and Rescue
  • Ladder Rescue Practices

Pre-Requisites:

Though no previous experience is required, the general knowledge of rope rescue from height is helpfull. Appropriate mental and physical work will be performed at levels of height and the participant will be asked to perform moderate to strenuous activity.
