This program is designed to teach an EMT how to handle medical, traumatic and psychiatric emergencies; ranging from simple cuts to Heart Attacks and Strokes at the advanced EMT level, and builds on the EMTs basic skills adding Endotracheal Intubation, IV threapy and advanced patient assessment. This program has both a didactic and clinical component. Our curriculum follows the Federal Department of Transportation guidelines, but exceeds both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services and DOT's minimum requirements.
For the student wishing to obtain his/her certification as an EMT-I, upon successful completion of this program, you will be eligible to sit for the State of Massachusetts and National Registry of EMT's Emergency Medical Technician's Intermediate Exam.
